This dir contains VM images for the 2026 IPTA Student Workshop in South Africa. Please see the docs for information about how to use them.

Workshop VM flavors

There exist images for VMs in both x86_64 and arm64 architectures.

Apple-flavored arm64 machines Everyone else (Linux and Windows on x86_64, and Intel Macs)

Note: These files extract to ~20 GB, so please ensure that you have adequate free space. It's safe to delete the archive after extracting or importing it.

Windows on arm64 might have luck with the tarball; it contains a qemu qcow2 disk image that can be used with qemu or with VirtualBox after conversion. This configuration is untested!
